Chapel of the Cross Church of the Nazarene was organized in 1987 after beginning in 1985 in a home with 8 people. Today, Chapel of the Cross averages approximately 120 people, worshiping in a lovely sanctuary. Growth has brought some challenges and they are looking for ways to increase Sunday School facilities. The church is located in the foothills of the beautiful Chugach Mountains in the Hillside area of South Anchorage.

Mission Statement

Chapel of the Cross is to be a spiritual lighthouse. We will endeavor to reach the lost; to guide believers in their walk with Christ through worship, fellowship, and accountability; and be a safe haven for teaching, and enabling godly change in lives.
